Mirtillo takes up new post at Ericsson

Nunzio Mirtillo has been appointed head of market area South East Asia, Oceania and India for Ericsson, as part of a regional organisational restructure structure.

In his new role, Mirtillo has responsibility for Ericsson’s business across markets such as Australia and New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Bangladesh.

The 29-year Ericsson veteran has experience in various roles including in solutions development, sales, marketing and delivery and, most recently, has been head of region Mediterranean, responsible for Ericsson’s business and operations across 25 countries.

Ericsson’s reorganisation from 10 regions to 5 market areas, and four business units to three business areas aims to increase efficiency and speed up time to market and customer responsiveness.

As part of his appointment, Mirtillo becomes a member of Ericsson’s executive team.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience of working in different roles across a diverse range of markets to the newly-combined Market Area South East Asia, Oceania and India," Mirtillo said.

“Ericsson’s strengthened portfolio focus and simplified organisational structure will enable us to better partner with our customers, to help them succeed in tough market situations and capitalise on new growth opportunities within ICT.”
