Logitech G launches new mechanical gaming keyboard

Logitech G, a division of Logitech, has announced an addition to its gaming range, with the launch of the G413 mechanical gaming keyboard.

The G413 features the company's proprietary Romer-G mechanical switches, which it claims offer 25% faster actuation than standard mechanical keys.

The G413 has a short-throw actuation point of 1.5 mm and is claimed to register key presses faster.

It has a brushed anodised aircraft-grade aluminium top case, USB passthrough port and precision key backlighting.

Two versions have been launched: the Logitech G413 Carbon featuring red backlighting and the Logitech G413 Silver with white backlighting.

Ujesh Desai, vice-president and general manager of Logitech G, said: “We spent a lot of time carefully designing and engineering this keyboard to deliver advanced performance with just the right feature set, at the right price point.

“We created this keyboard with features like USB passthrough, backlit keys and a metal finish. With the G413 we believe we’ve achieved the perfect balance of high performance features and attractive design.”

Media control is built into the G413 and FN keys can be used to control volume, play and pause, mute, game mode, lighting, etc. The FN toggle feature in Logitech Gaming Software can be used to configure keys for media commands by default.

The G413 will be available from major Australian retailers in May with a suggested RRP of $149.95.
